of monsters and skulls

As I mentioned in the previous post, I've made a few experiments with skulls. This one is a skull made from tiny, tiny monsters. I guess it was my way of starting something serious, but having a laugh at the end.

the crystal skull

I've made a few skulls for this edition of sticker for Uman Shop and in this one I have incorporated two of my favourite things in illustration, anatomy and minerals. Hope you enjoy it, grab the stickers from Uman then show me were you've stuck them on my Facebook page or Instagram (you can use the #dushky or tag option @dushkydeea). Can't wait to see your photos.

go bananas

Another sticker design from the 8th series of my collab with Uman Shop. Since they have a thing for monkeys and I have a thing for anatomy, so I thought of somehow combining the two for this design but with a funny twist. Here's the anatomy of a banana:

bye bye birdie

A new year has come and a new season has begun and with every season, stickers come out as well. This would be part two of the 8th edition of my collaboration with Uman Shop [Here is the first part]. But first I'll showcase the illustrations that made the cut; here's one of a bird with a more anatomical feel to it, maybe this could be the masculine version of the geometric bird. As a previously mentioned, this edition's theme was all about skulls, skeletons and creatures.

tee time

So I've sent over some illustrations to the T-shirt Factory and they've turned them into tee designs, all for you. I'm kind of testing this out and if it all goes well, I'm thinking of maybe crating some new ones.

the stickers - first act

As you probably already know, from time to time I draw some things that get to be turned into sticky artwork. My collaboration with Uman Shop has got to an 8th edition already and for this milestone we thought of taking things to a new level.

Since the last season's stickers were really appreciated, we thought of skulls and bones for this one. I had quite a bunch of ideas so we split them up into a few series. I've posted the illustrations a while ago (the monkey, the geometric bird and the aqua skull) and so finally here's the end result, the 8th edition of Uman vs Dushky sticker collab:

opulence, I has it

The Mosa family's custom portrait - watercolour & marker on paper | 21cm x 14.8cm

Another couple of my friends, plus doggie. They are a very colourful, young and happy family but I'm not sure I captured his ultra-funny character here, I may have to redraw him again. Until then, here they are, the Mosa's.

my ladies

So it all started with a few of my closest friends (see my Girlies post) and soon enough, I had to draw almost all my friends in characters. And somehow, I still have to make some more. For now, here are two more of my ladies, Dani and Emi.

superselfie

Happy New Year everyone!

I'll start by saying that this holiday season was so very special; hectic at times, work-wise, but very special nonetheless. Remarkably, I've had a lot to paint this year, a lot of custom orders and commissions. Thus given my lack of activity on the blog or on my facebook page. I never thought that my creatures with features project, that I've started doing for my lovely lady friends, would get such positive feedback. Therefore I had to make more than a dozen portraits and a whole lot more faces, but it was a fun process to bring out each personality from people I only knew from descriptions.

I'll kick off this year with a super-portrait, that I've actually painted in the summer (I know, I'm really far behind) with a lot of my friends all together. It was a gift for the colourful lady in the middle, my sis.
