fall families

I love autumn... lately. If you would have asked me a couple of years ago about my favourite season, I would have definitely said summer without even blinking. But I guess we change as much as seasons do, because for a while now, I've started liking autumn more and more. And yes, fashion has something to do with it, but I've always admired its colour palette.

So having these two portraits in a natural setting, a fall one nonetheless, comes close to my heart. It somehow feels very cosy, and that is in the definition of "family".

bereta citro beer label

Dear beer lovers, especially you ladies, a new fresh beer from Bereta is now out and ready. Now I'm not going to talk about the flavour, texture or scent, because you can find that all on your own from the brewers themselves, or just by simply drinking it. But I am going to talk about the new label that I've helped them design.

Since this was a new type of beer, different from the 'Ai Pi Iei (ipa), we had to change the entire label, with a new name and everything. There were many sketches (and laughs), while trying different poses for the Bereta dude and after many attempts,we got it just right. I think it goes perfectly with the taste, so let me know if you've tried it.

the cowboy and the traditional lady

I'm a person that likes to mix things up a bit, in unusual combinations nonetheless. So this portrait struck a cord with me, in a sense that it had different people with different personalities, traditions, backgrounds and customs that still came together to form a bound. That's just amazing to me.

film poster

One of my latest projects was a cool collaboration with the guys over at Timishort Film Festival. I've made some illustrations for their kids section poster, where my monsters felt right at home. But to my surprise a little doodle came a long way and the poster was part of an entire campaign, so it was quite fun to discover the little critters around town. It felt like an adventure while on a scavenger hunt.

Here's the entire process from sketch to the printed poster.

And here's what I've found on my quest:

family portraits

I've finally managed to get some editing done this weekend so I can post some of my latest illustrations. Today I'll add some colourful portraits to the Creatures with Features project, so I've grouped three family portraits that were actually commissioned by the same person. It was a very detail oriented project, since every portrait had specific things that needed to be included. But if you look closely, there are some common denominators as well.

abstract nature

I don't usually do abstract work but when I do, it's for a project. This time, it was for my GameGirls project. Since the whole thing was for a gaming event poster, my girls needed some background to fit them all together. And alongside the space bubble, I also made this abstract green ombre geometric mountains... I think that sums it up quite nicely.
