overgrown bunny - print illustration

It's been a while. But I'm back with some new exciting things... that you've already seen on Instagram. But here's something new in the Overgrown Series: A Spring Bunny in Bloom.

Every now and then, a personal project takes root and grows into something magical. That’s exactly what happened with my Overgrown series—a style that I’ve been developing for a while now, where I blend the shape of an animal with the abundance of nature. Think double exposure, but with a botanical twist. It's become a visual language I love, where silhouettes aren't empty—they're alive.

The latest addition to this ever-growing collection is a digitally drawn bunny rabbit. And this one is extra special. I wanted it to feel like spring itself—light, delicate, and full of life. So inside the bunny’s silhouette, I planted a garden of seasonal blooms: tulips, snowdrops, lillies of the valley, crocuses, and sprigs of greenery, all whispering of Easter mornings and new beginnings. Kept things simple, just in outlines, since the design was so complex in itself. But let me know if you think I should add some colour to it.

The Overgrown project has always been about contrasts—soft vs bold, solid vs organic, real vs imagined. And this bunny feels like the perfect embodiment of that idea: a quiet creature made loud with life.

More animals are sprouting in my sketchbook as we speak—so stay tuned.
