Today's Different Kind Of Portrait is about a Fantastic Four group of friends, reunited over kebabs, gelatos and a friendship moment captured in time, and in this painting. A weird combo, some might say, but for this group, it makes sense, and that's their inside story they get to keep. Some portraits tell a story at first glance, while others whisper it through the little details.
The painting is inspired by one of their real-life photos, that kind of candid shot that already tells a story on its own. But in a trademark different-kind of portrait, we just had to weave in a bit of extra subtle clues, hidden here and there, that speak to their shared memories, inside jokes, and unique personalities. Tiny secrets scattered across the painting, known only to them. I'll give you one hint, and one hint only: there's the Romanian flag hidden somewhere in there.
I love projects like this, where simplicity hides layers of meaning, and where every colour, expression, and object tells a part of a much bigger story. It’s a reminder that true connection, much like art, lives in the small, thoughtful details.
