jogging woman - tattoo design

Greetings, fellow ink enthusiasts and doodle devotees! Today, I’m thrilled to introduce you to my latest creation, an exquisite tribute to the grit and grace of athleticism – a tattoo design of a woman running or jogging, conceived in my own little head (with my client's wishes as a guide, of course) and crafted in the artistic womb of Procreate. It’s a piece that celebrates the power of motion, the joy of fitness, and the sweet, sweet allure of minimalistic art. So, lace up your trainers and join me on this creative jog through the concept and style behind the paper.

This design captures the very essence of the athletic process, a tribute to health and determination. It’s more than just a pretty picture; it’s an ode to those who push their limits, chase their goals, and run like their ex is standing still behind them. The concept sprouted from a desire to blend the dynamism of sports with the elegance of a woman and a very minimalistic yet colourful style. I wanted to create something that’s not just visually appealing but also serves as a reminder that fitness is an art form in itself... and that minimalism is a maximum effort (extra points if you get that reference).

I used my trademark tattoo designing style, with clean, graphic outlines and a hint of (water)colour. It’s like a visual haiku – every line is deliberate, every curve tells a story, and there’s no room for unnecessary fluff. In this design, I’ve toyed with multiple variations of colour to bring out different moods and vibes. We’ve got gradients that transition smoothly, adding depth and a touch of sophistication. Think of it as the smooth gradient of emotions you feel when your fitness app tells you you’ve just run your personal best. For those who fancy something more dynamic, I’ve also played around with some watercolour strokes and splashes. Flat colours? Oh, we’ve got those too – bold, solid blocks that make a statement as strong as a marathon finisher crossing the line.

So here are some pictures to keep you running (pun intended):

So, if you’re looking to ink a piece of inspiration onto your skin, look no further. This design is ready to run its way into your heart – and maybe even get you off the sofa. I'm just kidding, this one's already taken, but if you have an idea, maybe I can design it on paper for you. Until next time, keep running, keep doodling, and remember: life’s too short for boring tattoos. Cheers!
