the queen of the jungle - babyshower prints

Today's story behind the paper is about a wildly (pun-intended) cute jungle-themed baby shower. I'm not switching careers and going into event-planning, in case that was misleading, I just created the graphics. Some projects come with a little extra sparkle—not just because they involve a whole lot of creative fun, but because they’re for dear friends. This was one of those heartwarming commissions, where I got to sprinkle my artistic magic onto an adorable baby shower with a jungle theme. Think lush greenery, playful animals, and a whole lot of baby cuteness wrapped in colourful vines. I have another entire post with all the graphics, here's where the designs came to life.

Every great party needs a solid visual identity, and this one had to feel like stepping into a mini rainforest (minus the humidity and unexpected encounters with giant insects). I designed custom graphics for several key elements of the event:

The Welcome Sign: First impressions matter! Guests were greeted with a beautifully illustrated sign that set the tone for the celebration. Picture delicate earthy-toned plants and vines, wild flowers, and just enough whimsy to make everyone feel like they were stepping into a storybook.

The PhotoWall: Because what’s a party without proof that it happened? The photo booth backdrop was a jungle dream, complete with leafy green and animal-print balloons, wild animal plushies, and a design that made every snapshot look effortlessly Instagrammable.

The Bar Design: Sipping on something delicious is always better when the surroundings match the vibe. I created a playful bar design centered around our babygirl star, surrounded by nature, that carried the jungle aesthetic seamlessly. I think the bar area was a visual treat. Anyone got milk?

The Invitations: The first glimpse into any event starts with the invitation, so I made sure these ones felt extra special. With soft textures and hand-drawn botanical elements, the invites whispered (or rather, softly roared), "This is going to be a celebration to remember!" And it definitely was a roaring success.

The end result? A baby shower that felt cozy, elegant, and straight out of a jungle fairytale. It was a joy to create artwork that brought my friends’ vision to life, and even more rewarding to be a part of it.
