the new family

 Most of the time, when I get a new commission for a Different-Kind-of-Portrait it's usually a portrait to be gifted. Sometimes though, the people the illustration is going to are people that I know and that just makes everything twice as fun. Today's different kind of portrait is of a fresh new family, a couple of friends that I met a few years ago, they just got married and had a baby. The baby was still on the way when I drew this, but I recently met him and he's just the cutest little human. I cannot wait to see him grow up and hopefully get to portray him as well. One day.
