the throwback kid

 While the nineties were back in style I went back in time to recreate a photo of this cute kid for a custom different-kind-of portrait. I don't usually work off of one single photo unless that is what the client desires, but off of many, making a composite from the peoples' lives, passions, hobbies or jobs, places they visited or memories they've lived. But I like recreating photos too, I find it simpler somehow. And this one, it feels very dear to me, probably because those times bring a sort of nostalgia for me. And in the end, everything about her and her portrait is just too damn cute.
